Contacts

The Contacts tab in the Q-SYS Administrator gives you the ability to create contact lists for Local numbers and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) numbers. You can create multiple occurrences of each type. In order to create and use Contacts, you must have a SoftPhone in your design.

To create a Local Contact List:

  1. Select the Contacts tab in the Administrator.
  2. Click the + above the Contact Lists pane. You are given a choice of Add new local contact list or Add LDAP contact list. Select Add new local contact list.
  3. Enter the information according to the controls listed below under Local Contact List.
  4. You can click a column heading (Name, Number) to sort. Click the same heading again to switch between ascending and descending order.

To create a LDAP Contact List:

  1. Select the Contacts tab in the Administrator.
  2. Click the + above the Contact Lists pane. You are given a choice of Add new local contact list or Add LDAP contact list. Select Add LDAP contact list.
  3. Enter the information according to the controls listed below under LDAP Contact List.
  4. You can click a column heading (Name, Number) to sort. Click the same heading again to switch between ascending and descending order.

RDNs are usually separated by commas and optional spaces. For example: 'uid=JohnDoe, ou=People, dc=company, dc=com'
