Digital In – DCIO/DCIO-H

The Digital Input on the DCIO supports 16 channels of AES3 audio and, with the DCIO-H, 8 channels of AES3 audio and 8 channels of HDMI audio.

The HDMI input extracts audio from incoming HDMI stream and passes the video stream directly to output HDMI port for connection to a downstream video device. Up to 8 channels of PCM audio are supported. Additionally, Dolby Digital Plus™ and DTS-HD® decoders are automatically applied if those bitstreams are detected.

Controls

Control

Function

Default / Range

HDMI Enable button

Click to enable or disable HDMI functionality. When this is activated, the AES channels 9 through 16 are disabled and become HDMI channels.

Note: The HDMI Enable and AES 9-16 Enable are radio-type buttons. Both cannot be in the same position at the same time.

Function

Status

Displays the current status of the DCIO both in text and color. The following is a list of possible status colors, and some example conditions.

Note: These conditions are examples, and may not be applicable to all components with a Status field.

OK – Green – Audio is good, hardware is good.

Compromised – Orange – Audio is good but a redundancy mechanism is active (one LAN down but the other is still up) or a non-fatal hardware problem exists.

Fault – Red – Audio is not passing, or hardware is malfunctioning or mis-configured.

Missing – Red – A piece of hardware, defined in the design, has not been discovered. Audio is not passing through that piece of hardware.

Initializing – Blue – In the process of firmware, configuration update, and design start. Audio is obviously not available during initialization.

Not Present – Gray – A virtual component in the design, that is designated as Dynamically Paired, and Not Required ,has no hardware assigned to it.
